  • 2 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs sliced into 1/2 inch strips
  • 5 cloves of garlic crushed
  • 1 large onion roughly chopped
  • 28 oz can of crushed tomato
  • 1 1/4 cup of water or low sodium chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons of sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ancho chili pepper or chipotle powder
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • 6 ounces of full-fat cream cheese cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 1/4 cup of raw jalapeños or pickled jalapeños
  • 2 tablespoons of green onion
